The best vacuum for pet hair may be a tad subjective, depending on if you have a brand preference. That being said, there are actually multiple vacuums that do a great job at picking up that pesky pet hair. Here are my top three best vacuums for pet hair, ranked in the order I would buy them.

Bissell 3920 Pet Hair Eraser - As the name suggests, this vacuum “erases” pet hair. Also, this machine costs about 1/3 the price of the Dyson Animal. On the downside, it’s a bit bulky & is a pain to empty the canister.

Dyson DC15 Animal - This vacuum is great for picking up pet hair, it’s easy to empty, looks stylish & has great suction. The biggest issues for this unit is its price tag & the fact that you have to buy some attachments.

Miele Cat & Dog Series - Good suction, durable, portable & sleek. This one would rate much higher, except for the price - which is even more than the Dyson.
