It takes about 10 minutes, even for novices like me. The machine is solidly built, even though most if it is made of plastic. It gives you the carpet cleaning options of “heavy traffic”, “light clean”, “normal clean” & “water rinse” - which is nice since some areas are a lot worse than others. Also, if don’t like using the chemical solutions, you can put it whatever cleaning liquid you like. The TurboBrush attachment works superbly on stairs & other hard to reach areas. The unit is also not too heavy, so even a smaller person could maneuver this thing pretty easily.

The biggest “issue” with this carpet cleaner is how expensive it is. There are quite a few cheaper cleaners out there, but I’m doubt they would do as good of a job. Another thing they could have done better with the Bissell 9500 ProHeat 2X CleanShot upright deep cleaner is gotten better suction. It doesn’t leave the carpets sopping wet or anything, just a little damper than I’d like. You may have to go over the carpet several times to get it dry enough. Overall, I’m glad I bought this unit though.”
