Bissell Heavy Duty Review

Bissell Heavy DutyThe Bissell Heavy Duty is an upright model, which as the name suggests, is supposed to provide deep cleaning to your dirty floors and carpets. In this review of the Heavy Duty vacuum cleaner, I’ll go over this model’s strengths and weaknesses, then decide if it’s worth buying. As far as looks go, it’s actually quite sleek and stylish – which is not always the case with models from this manufacturer. Here’s a quick rundown of features you’ll find on this unit: non-stop suction, HEPA media filter, 9x Multi-Cyclonic action, 15 inch cleaning path, multi-brush bar system with on and off switch, a 30 ft power cord, dual edge cleaning, easy empty dirt container, 7 height adjustments, lifetime belt, headlight, and this vacuum also has a telescoping wand with some attachment tools. This is actually a pretty decent feature set, but next we’ll see everything works properly.

Alright, onto the negative aspects of the Bissell Heavy Duty vacuum. One issue is that the hose tends to spring back, because the suction power is so strong. While this may be a good problem to have, it can also get annoying that it doesn’t extend all the way. Another problem I have with this model is that it is very heavy – at nearly 35 lbs. I know being heavy is usually a sign of quality, but this is going to be way to heavy for most users. Other than that, I don’t have a lot to complain about. I do think the Bissell Heavy Duty vacuum cleaner is a bit pricey, but you do get what you pay for. Overall, I’m very impressed with this unit. The suction power is tremendous, and it has a good number of useful features. I’m giving this unit a 4.5 / 5 star rating.

Bissell Velocity Vacuum Cleaner

Bissell VelocityThe Bissell Velocity is an upright model, which is specially designed to get extra power from it’s two-stage cyclonic action. In this review of the Bissell Velocity vacuum cleaner, I’ll go over this model’s strengths and weaknesses, then decide if this is indeed worth the money. You can currently get this model for around $130, so it’s not overly expensive – but, the question is whether it actually works well. Here’s a quick rundown of the features you’ll find on this unit: a powerful 12 amp motor, HEPA media filter, 15 inch cleaning path, multi-cyclonic action, 35 ft power cord, rotating brush bars, easy-empty dirt container, 7 surface height adjustments, headlight, and an extension wand with tools. A couple things I really like about this vacuum are the extra long power cord, and the nice tool selection. The cyclonic action is a little over-hyped in my opinion.

OK, onto the negative aspects of the Bissell Velocity vacuum. A couple things I don’t really like about this model are: it doesn’t have a retractable cord and the brush bars cannot be turned off. Also, the dirt container seems to get filled up very quickly. Another issue that a number of users had after a few months of use is that it starts to lose its suction power. I’ve also noticed that a fair amount of people say it gets louder the longer you own it. I’m not sure if there is an underlying reason that is causing these issues, but they do seem to be pretty common problems amongst users. There is a lot about the Bissell Velocity vacuum cleaner that I like, so I’m a little disappointed with the issues it has. Overall, I can only give this model a 3.8 / 5 star rating.

Bissell PowerForce – Inexpensive and Powerful

Bissell PowerForceMy short Bissell PowerForce review: The Bissell PowerForce vacuum (6585 model) is well under $100, yet provides a lot of features normally only found on higher end machines. The on-board tools work great for cleaning up hard-to-reach areas. It also has 5 height adjustments (for use on carpet or bare floors), a 30 foot cord, deluxe stretch hose and HEPA filtration system. A lot of pet owners are saying how well it works at sucking up pet hair. So, you can see what I mean by having more features than a normal $65 vacuum cleaner might have.

Suction on the Bissell PowerForce is great. However, quite a number of users are complaining about the loss of suction as this vacuum gets older. Also, be prepared for the cheaper build quality of this model. I guess it’s about what you’d expect from a $65 vacuum cleaner – so, no big deal there. Overall, the Bissell PowerForce vacuum 6585 model is definitely worth the money, and will work great for buyers on a tight budget.

Bissell Lift-Off Revolution Pet Review

Bissell Lift-Off Revolution PetThe Bissell Lift-Off Revolution Pet vacuum is an upright model, specifically geared towards animal owners. It’s not the most attractive unit out there, but neither is it the ugliest. In this review of the Bissell Lift-Off Revolution Pet vacuum cleaner, I’ll go over the positive and negative aspects, then decide if it’s worth the $170 price tag. Here’s a quick rundown of the features you’ll get with this model: Pet TurboBrush, powerful 12 amp motor, HEPA filter, easy-empty container, detachable canister, telescoping extension wand, 7 surface height settings, and a couple multi-use tools. While this vacuum does have a couple nice additional features, I think it’s also missing a few.

OK, now I’ll go over the negative aspects of the Bissell Lift-Off Revolution Pet vacuum. As I just mentioned, there are a couple features I would like to have seen: dirt sensor, dual edge cleaning, headlight, automatic cord rewind, and an on-off switch for the brush roll. Without the brush roll switch, this model becomes a carpet-only unit, which is very unfortunate. A couple other things I don’t like: the hose is not that stretchy and it can be a little loud. Overall, I wouldn’t consider the Bissell Lift-Off Revolution Pet a bad vacuum cleaner, but I would only recommend it to pet owners with a fully carpeted house. I’m giving it a 3.8 / 5 star rating.

Bissell Rewind SmartClean Review

Bissell Rewind SmartCleanThe Bissell Rewind SmartClean vacuum is an upright model, with a main goal of shortening the amount of time you spend cleaning your house. In this review of the Bissell Rewind SmartClean vacuum cleaner, I’ll go over the strengths and weaknesses of this model, then determine if it actually does save time and if it’s worth the $130 asking price. As far as looks go, I would say it’s pretty average – not a real eye-catcher, but not ugly either. As the name suggests, this model has an automatic power cord rewind. It definitely does save some time over hand winding the cord, so they’re on the right track. Now I’ll take a look at some of the other features this model has: Helix system that removes small dust particles, a HEPA media filter, SmartClean system for better cleaning efficiency, a 15 inch rotating brush, 25 ft power cord, clean filter indicator light, dual edge cleaning, 5 vacuum height adjustments, easy-empty dirt container, headlight, and a few multi-use tools. This is a fair amount of features for a model in the $130 price range. And true to it’s main mission, it does have a couple time-saving features.

OK, onto the negative aspects of the Bissell Rewind SmartClean vacuum. One thing I don’t like is that the brush bar does not have an on / off switch. This can make cleaning up bare floors a bit of a hassle. Also, it seems like the dirt container gets filled up very quickly. I’ve read that this was a problem with a couple other users as well. Another thing is that the cord can seem a little short, especially if you don’t pull it all out before you start cleaning up a big room. Lastly, I wish the Bissell Rewind SmartClean vacuum cleaner had microban protection and a heater, but those are more of a luxury I suppose. All in all, I really do like this little machine. I’m giving it a 4.1 / 5 star rating.

Bissell PurePro Review

Bissell PureProThe Bissell PurePro vacuum is an upright model which is touted as cleaning up the air in your house, as well as the floors. It is currently selling for around $180. In this review of the Bissell PurePro vacuum cleaner, I’ll go over this model’s strengths and weaknesses – then we can decide if it’s worth buying. First off, here’s a quick feature list of what you’ll find on this unit: microban protection, HEPA media filter, powerful multi-cyclonic technology, motorized brush with on and off switch, 15 inch cleaning path, 30 ft power cord, multiple height settings, dual edge cleaning, headlight, turbo-brush, and also an extension wand. This a pretty decent set of features for this vacuum, but not overly impressive.

OK, onto the negative aspects of the Bissell PurePro vacuum. First off, I wish it had an automatic cord rewind feature. I do like the 30 ft power cord, but it can be a pain to wind it all back up when you’re done. The dust cup can be a little messy to empty, unless you’re careful with it. It also does not have a clean filter indicator light or a dirt sensor. The suction is good, but I think there are a couple other models that are better at this price level. Overall, I like the Bissell PurePro vacuum cleaner well enough. I think it is best suited for users with allergens or odors in their house. Overall, I’m giving this model a 4 / 5 star rating.

Bissell OptiClean Review

Bissell OptiCleanThe Bissell OptiClean vacuum is a bagless canister model with cyclonic technology. The exterior of this model is pretty nice looking, but in this review of the Bissell OptiClean vacuum cleaner, I’ll dig a little deeper to see if it’s actually worth the $100 price tag. Here’s a rundown of features you’ll find on this unit: telescoping wand, crevice tool, dusting brush, upholstery tool, HEPA filter, an easy empty dirt container, variable suction control, retractable power cord, washable pre-motor filter, and this vacuum only weighs 16 lbs. The number of on-board attachments is pretty impressive for a mid range model.

OK, onto the negative side of the Bissell OptiClean vacuum. First off, it doesn’t do that great of a job on thicker carpets. However, if you have mostly bare floors you should be fine. Another thing I don’t like is that the hose is pretty short, which can make it tough to reach certain areas of the house. Also, I can tell the build quality isn’t that great on this model. I suppose it’s to be expected from a cheaper unit, but it’s still disappointing. I also wish it had a rotating brush in the head, which would help clean carpets a lot better. Overall, I think the Bissell OptiClean vacuum cleaner is fine. I think the main group of people who would consider it, should have mostly bare floors. Overall, I’m giving this model a 3.5 / 5 star rating.

Bissell PowerEdge Pet Review

Bissell Bronze PowerEdge PetThe Bissell PowerEdge Pet vacuum is a stick model meant to work especially well at picking up pet hair. This bronze colored model also very cheap – currently $50. In this review of the Bissell PowerEdge Pet vacuum cleaner, I’ll go over this model’s strengths and weaknesses, then decide if it’s worth buying. Here’s a quick rundown of what you can expect to find on this unit: a 20 ft power cord, innovative V shaped head to direct debris towards it, edge cleaning, pet hair pickup, easy-empty dirt container, swivel head and an 11.35 inch cleaning path. I love the fact that this is a corded model, which is becoming a rarity with stick vacuums these days. This means you can go for an unlimited amount of time, and not have to wait until the battery recharges. A couple other things I like: the fact that it’s just 7.5 lbs, and I like the classy bronze color scheme.

Now I’ll go over the potential negative aspects of the Bissell PowerEdge Pet vacuum. First off, the dirt cup is very small. Not only that, but it doesn’t always empty pet hair very easily. Also, the suction power isn’t tremendous. It’s pretty good for a $50 model, but that’s not saying a whole lot. Lastly, some of the parts seem pretty cheap. Overall, I do like the Bissell PowerEdge Pet for a quick clean-up. However, I don’t really expect it to last for too many years – especially the suction and plastic parts. I’m still giving it a 4 / 5 star rating, because it’s cheap and does a good job.

Bissell PowerClean Review

Bissell PowerCleanThe Bissell PowerClean vacuum is an upright bagless model, currently selling for around $200. The overall styling is OK, but not great. In this review of the Bissell PowerClean vacuum cleaner, I’ll be going over the strengths and weaknesses of this model, then deciding if it’s worth the money. As I just mentioned, I don’t think this is the prettiest unit out there, but I do like the black and red color combination. Here’s a rundown of this model’s best features: a telescoping extension wand, 30 ft power cord, dusting brush, crevice tool, motorized brush roll which you can turn on and off, lifetime belt, HEPA filter, microban, and it has a headlight on the front. The cyclonic action suction power on this vacuum is pretty strong, and picks up most stuff with ease. Another thing that I really like is the 15 inch cleaning path, which is great for getting bigger rooms done quicker.

OK, onto the negative aspects of the Bissell PowerClean vacuum. The fact that this model weighs almost 22 lbs is going to turn some people off. It’s just a little too heavy for my liking, especially carrying it up the stairs. Also, it’s quite noisy, so be prepared for that. Another thing is that it’s a little hard to push on thicker carpet. It seems to be fine on low pile carpets, so if that’s all you have you should be OK. Lastly, I think the hose attachment on the Bissell PowerClean is great, but it tends to lose some suction when using it. Overall, I definitely like this vacuum and would recommend it, even with it’s flaws. I’m giving it a 4 / 5 star rating.

Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Review

Bissell Pet Hair EraserThe Bissell Pet Hair Eraser vacuum is a very popular upright model, which currently sells for around $140. This model is definitely meant for pet owners. In this review of the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser vacuum cleaner, we’ll go over this model’s strengths and weaknesses. First off, here’s a rundown of the best features found on this unit: a HEPA media filter, easy empty dirt container, two-stage cyclonic action for more suction power, dual edge cleaning, and of course the pet contour tool, which helps pull pet hair out of hard-to-reach areas. The style of this vacuum is actually not bad. In fact, it’s a lot better than most models in this price range.

Now we’ll go over the potential negative aspects of the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser vacuum. For the most part, people love this model. However, I’ve come across more than a few users who say that it loses major suction power after about a year – which seems a little troubling. Also, the filters need washed after every use or the suction power will go down. Another thing is that the upper container gets hair in it, and is harder to take off than the lower container. While the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser vacuum cleaner does come with the pet contour tool, I wish there were a couple other attachments for getting into even tighter areas. Overall, I still really like this model a lot. It’s reasonably priced, and has superb suction power (even if it may not last forever). I’m giving it a 4 / 5 star rating.

Bissell Zing Review

Bissell ZingThe Bissell Zing vacuum is a simple canister model with a super low price tag of just $60. As far as looks go, this model is actually quite stylish. In this review of the Bissell Zing vacuum cleaner, I’ll be going over this model’s best and worst assets. Here’s a rundown of the features you’ll find on this unit: 10 amps of power, a 15 ft power cord, telescoping extension wand, crevice tool and brush, auto cord rewind, variable suction control, and it can work on both carpet and bare floors. Another nice thing about this vacuum is that it comes with six spare bags, which is nice because they can be a bit pricey.

Now let’s move onto the negative aspects of the Bissell Zing vacuum cleaner. I think the biggest complaint on this model is the super-short cord length. The manufacturer claims it’s 15 ft long, but a lot of users say it is even shorter – that’s a ridiculously short cord. Another complaint is that the suction power isn’t strong enough to get the dirt out of thicker carpets. Quite honestly, the suction isn’t all that good. It’s better than a stick vacuum, but that’s not saying a lot. While I really like the exterior look of the Bissell Zing, I’m a little less enthusiastic about the build quality. I guess you have to expect that with a cheaper vacuum though. Overall, this model is OK, just not spectacular. I’m giving this model a 3.8 / 5 star rating, because it’s still a decent model, especially for $60.

Bissell Momentum Review

Bissell MomentumThe Bissell Momentum vacuum is a super-popular upright model which touts the cyclonic technology as one of it’s main selling points. In this review, I’ll be going over the Bissell Momentum vacuum cleaner’s best and worst features – then deciding if it’s worth the nearly $100 price tag. Here’s a rundown of this unit’s best features: a washable premotor filter, HEPA filter, 30 foot power cord, a 15 inch cleaning path, motorized brush roll, 7 height adjustments for different types of flooring, easy empty dirt container, DirtLifter brush system, and a few extra attachments. The cyclonic cleaning technology on this vacuum is supposed to give it more suction power, and it’s actually fairly powerful for a mid-range model.

Now, onto the potential negative aspects of the Bissell Momentum vacuum. I’ve seen quite a few users complain about the stretch hose. It is made of sub-par material, and the suction power seems to diminish when you are using it. Another issue is how loud this model is. If you use it for too long, you may want to put in your earplugs. A couple other things: it’s a little bulkier than I’d like, and it can get clogged pretty easily if you have a lot of pet fur around. Overall, I’m pretty satisfied with the Bissell Momentum vacuum. I’m giving it a 4 / 5 star rating.

Bissell DigiPro Review

Bissell DigiProThe Bissell DigiPro canister vacuum is a fairly bulky 12-Amp model with a red exterior. While I’m not that into the exterior, I think it does have great features. In this review of the Bissell DigiPro vacuum cleaner, I’ll go over this model’s best and worst assets. First off, here’s a rundown of the better features you’ll find on this model: a motorized rotating brush, bag change indicator light, flex hose, a telescoping wand with multiple on-board tools, easy glide wheels, washable HEPA filter, and variable power control. I love how maneuverable this vacuum is. The washable HEPA filter and on-board tools are also pretty cool.

Now I’ll go over the potential negative aspects of the Bissell DigiPro vacuum. First off, I think the suction power is a little sub-par. It can pick up most dirt fine, but it’s definitely not as powerful as some of the competition. Another thing I’m not so keen on is the durability of this unit. Along with being somewhat unattractive, I think the build quality is not that great. With a $230 price tag, the Bissell DigiPro is price pretty competitively. Overall, I’m giving this vacuum cleaner a 3.8 / 5 star rating.

Bissell Easy Vac Vacuum Review

Bissell Easy VacThe Bissell Easy Vac is a very lightweight upright vacuum cleaner, which comes in some very stylish colors. In this review, I’ll be going over some of the Bissell Easy Vac vacuum’s best features, as well as it’s negative features. As I said earlier, this model comes in all sorts of crazy colors – lime, lolita (pictured), blue, and red. Here’s a rundown of some of its best features: wire reinforced stretch hose, dusting brush and crevice tool, 20 ft power cord, rotating brush, and a media HEPA filter. As far as pricing goes, it’s a very inexpensive vacuum at only $40. Also, I like that it weighs less than 11 lbs.

Now I’ll be going over the Bissell Easy Vac vacuum cleaner’s potential negative aspects. First off, I would have liked to see an extension piece for the stretch hose. Also, the exterior is cheaply made, as you can imagine with a $40 vacuum. The nozzle doesn’t stretch too far, so it can be difficult to get hard to reach areas. Lastly, there were a couple complaints that I saw where the Bissell Easy Vac model broke on them within a year. I would have to say this is more of an exception than the rule. Overall, I am giving this model a 3.8 / 5 star rating.

Bissell Lift-Off Pet Vacuum Review

Bissell Lift-OffOur Bissell Lift-Off vacuum review: Finding a good pet hair vacuum can be hard work if you don’t know what to look for. Here’s a rundown of the Bissell Lift-Off Pet model’s best features: a multi-cyclonic bagless system, shed-away pet grooming tool, motorized brush roll, 7 height adjustments, detachable canister, an easy empty dirt container, and a HEPA media filter. As far as looks go, I don’t think it’s the prettiest vacuum out there – but of course, looks aren’t everything.

Now, I’ll go over the potential negative aspects of the Bissell Lift-Off Pet vacuum cleaner. First off, I’ve read more than a few complaints that the suction greatly diminishes after a few months of use. This is a bit troubling, since it didn’t seem to be a random person saying it, but quite a number of users. Another issue is that it tends to scatter dirt around on hard surfaces. It does great on carpet, but could be better on hard floors. The last issue I have with the Bissell Lift-Off vacuum is that it is a little on the heavier side. This makes it a little more difficult to drag around the house and bring up the stairs. Overall, I’m giving this vacuum a 3 / 5 star rating.
