The iRobot Roomba 572 Pet Series vacuum is a robotic model which is geared specifically towards pet owners. This new model comes with a $500 price tag. In this review of the iRobot Roomba 572 vacuum cleaner, I’ll go over this models strengths and weaknesses, then determine if it’s worth the very high cost. The styling on this little machine is simply gorgeous, so I do have to give them that. Here’s a quick rundown of the features found on this unit: a remote control for manual steering, three interchangeable bins, two virtual walls, a compact home base, a rotating bristle brush, suspension system for transitioning from bare floors to carpets, on-board scheduling for up to 7 preset times to clean, and it also includes some extra brushes and filters. This is actually not a bad set of features on this little vacuum. As usual, I think the best feature on this robotic model is the fact that you can program it to clean while you are gone.
OK, onto the negative aspects of the iRobot Roomba 572 Pet Series vacuum. First thing has to be the very high price tag, which I think will drive away a lot of potential buyers. It also seems to be a little noisy on hard floors. Another thing that can be kind of annoying is that for best results you really have to pick up the whole house to make a wide open area for it to clean. If you don’t do this, it will run down the battery pretty quickly, and won’t get as much done. All in all, I think the iRobot Roomba 572 is great for users with a large open floor plan, with not many objects in the way. However, it’s definitely not for everyone. On the other hand it does a good job at cleaning, and is very convenient for busy people. Taking all this in to consideration, I’m giving this vacuum cleaner a 4.2 / 5 star rating.
