The Dirt Devil Featherlite vacuum is a fairly cheap upright model, costing right around $45. As you can imagine, it’s a pretty lightweight model, but in this review of the Dirt Devil Featherlite vacuum cleaner I’ll take a deeper look at it’s strengths and weaknesses. First off, here’s a rundown of the best features found on this unit: a 25 foot power cord, easy empty dirt container, HEPA filter, motorized brush roll, telescoping wand, stretch hose, crevice tool, adjustable height, headlight, and it can be used on bare floors or carpets. This vacuum weighs just 12.7 lbs, so it does live up to it’s name – although, there are a few lighter upright models out there.
Now we’ll go over the negative aspects of the Dirt Devil Featherlite vacuum. First off, the build quality seems to be a little sub-par. At this price level, it’s somewhat to be expected though. It seems to work a lot better on carpet than bare floors. It tends to spread the dirt around a bit if there’s no carpet. The filter in the dirt cup is pretty hard to clean and this model is also pretty loud. Lastly, the suction power of the Dirt Devil Featherlite isn’t quite as good as I’d like to see. Overall, I would give this vacuum cleaner a 3.8 / 5 star rating.
