The Dirt Devil Jaguar Power Pak is a canister model with specially designed Motor-guard technology and a 12 amp motor, to give it some extra power. In this review of the Dirt Devil Jaguar Power Pak vacuum cleaner, I’ll go over this model’s positive and negative aspects, then decide if it’s worth buying. Currently, you can buy this model for around $180 – which is probably on the expensive side for what it is. Here’s a rundown of the features found on it: automatic cord rewind, HEPA filter, bag indicator light, variable speed controls, motorized brush roll with on and off switch, Motor-guard technology, 12 amp motor, crevice tool, dusting brush, swivel casters, upholstery brush, and an 18 ft power cord. This vacuum actually has a decent amount of useful features. The styling isn’t the most attractive, but you can’t go too wrong with an all-black exterior.
OK, onto the negative aspects of the Dirt Devil Jaguar Power Pak. First off, the power cord is entirely too short. I know the hose and wand help lengthen the reach, but it’s still not that great. A couple users have had problems with the head of this model getting clogged up, and the brush roll not functioning properly. I would say these issues are probably more of a fluke than anything – but, still something to think about. Another thing you have to worry about is trying to suck up a lot of pet hair. This model tends to get clogged up pretty easily, especially if you have large amounts of fur. Lastly, I think the Dirt Devil Jaguar Power Pak vacuum cleaner feels a little bulky, and the styling is a little out-dated. Overall, I’m not quite sure what to make of this model. It has some great features, and does a fine job of cleaning up the house – but, then there are some issues with it as well. I’m giving this unit a 3.7 / 5 star rating.
