The Dyson DC28 Animal is an upright model, which is designed specifically with pet owners in mind. It also features Airmuscle technology for cleaning up pet hair. In this review of the Dyson DC28 Animal vacuum cleaner, I’ll go over this model’s strengths and weaknesses, then decide if it’s worth the nearly $600 price tag. What I really like about the technology on this unit is that it actually brings the head closer to the floor, which allows you to get a very thorough cleaning. Here’s a quick rundown of the features found on this model: fingertip controls, quick-draw telescoping wand, a 35 ft power cord HEPA filter, edge cleaning, brush bar on and off switch, and a 5 year warranty. I love the fact that you can push a button on this vacuum, and it will automatically adjust to the correct height for your floor type. There are a lot of high-end features found on this unit, I guess which is why this manufacturer is so popular.
OK, onto the negative aspects of the Dyson DC28 Animal vacuum. One thing that I’m a little disappointed with is that there is no pet hair attachment. I’m actually a little surprised, seeing as they make a big deal about this model being animal friendly. Another issue I have is that it is pretty heavy, at just over 20 lbs. This can make it a little hard to drag up and down stairs. Last issue I have with this model is the higher price tag. I know it’s kind of expected with this brand, but it’s still hard to fork over $500. Even with these issues, I still really love the Dyson DC28 Animal vacuum cleaner. It’s built so well, and the technology behind it is far beyond the competition. Overall, I’m giving it a 4.5 / 5 star rating.
