My Dyson DC31 Animal vacuum review: So, you may be thinking the Dyson DC31 Animal vacuum is priced a bit high for a hand-held model (retails for $270). Is the price justified? Well, the answer is yes and no - in my opinion. For a hand-held, this vacuum cleaner absolutely demolishes the competition. It has superb suction, a great motorized roller brush for picking up pet hair and it just looks cool. It’s also great for couches, cars and other hard to reach areas.

I think the Dyson DC31 Animal vacuum cleaner is best suited for pet owners who have a major pet hair problem. I must say, you won’t find a better small vacuum for sucking fur off couches, etc. However, if your pet’s don’t shed too much (or at all), you’d do better with other cheaper models. You also have to remember that this is a cordless model, and will only give 15 minutes of hard work before it needs recharged.

So, the DC31 Animal could be a life-saver for some pet owners, but it’s definitely not for everyone. I give this vacuum an overall score of 4/5 stars.
