The Eureka Maxima vacuum is a very simple upright model, which comes in a variety of colors. Currently, it only costs around $35, which makes it one of the cheaper models out there. In this review of the Eureka Maxima vacuum cleaner, I’ll go over this model’s strengths and weaknesses. First off, here’s a rundown of the features you’ll find on this model: washable filter, 5 setting height adjustment, upholstery brush and wand tools, no-tip design, and it has 12 amps of power. The color options available for this model are pretty spunky, so I can imagine that it would make a great vacuum for younger folks – even in college dorm rooms. As I mentioned earlier, the $35 price tag is probably the most attractive feature this model has to offer.
OK, onto the negative aspects of the Eureka Maxima vacuum. The vibe I get from most users is that you get what you pay for. It’s definitely made of cheaper materials, and the suction isn’t that great. Also, the hose is sub-par and the attachments leave me wanting more. However, I can’t say that I’m surprised at some of these issues. In fact, for $35 you’d be hard pressed to find a better model. In reality, I think the Eureka Maxima vacuum cleaner is a great little starter model. It’s far from perfect, but at least it will get a small home clean enough to invite over your friends. If you’re expecting more than that, keep on looking. I’m giving it a 3.9 / 5 star rating.
