The Hoover FloorMate Hard Floor Cleaner is an interesting concept. It vacuums, washes and dries multiple hard floor surfaces. Other vacuum manufacturers have tried similar concepts, but I haven’t come across any that really do a spectacular job. I think the Hoover FloorMate is the best of the group, but even this model has it’s flaws. A couple things I don’t like: the liquid cleaner can get expensive and the filter needs replaced quite often. Now, I know you can make your own cleaner, which would be cheaper - but most people wouldn’t attempt to do that. Also, I don’t like how easily hair gets stuck on the bottom of the vacuum cleaner.

The Hoover FloorMate does work pretty well though. If you can get past the costs associated with using it, you’ll love not having to mop the old fashioned way. It especially does well on tile floors. A few other things I like about this vacuum cleaner: the cord is nice and long, it looks stylish, and the cleaner smells great. Overall, I wouldn’t give the Hoover Floormate top ratings, but I’m still giving it  3.5/5 stars.
