While it is relatively lightweight at 16 pounds, it can still be a pain to go up and down the stairs too many times. That being said, it is still much lighter than some competitors. Besides being pretty light, it also comes with an allergen filter. It’s nice to have if you are a big allergy sufferer. What makes this vacuum really attractive is the price. I’ve seen it as low as $65 new, so it’s a steal for how well it performs.

On the downside, you can’t turn off the brush roll. This is only a problem on bare floors, spreading the dirt around. Also, a lot of people complain about the short cord. I haven’t had a huge problem with this, but I can see how it would be if you’ve got a large staircase or room. But as I mentioned earlier, the Hoover Tempo Widepath U5140-900 lightweight vacuum has a lot more positive features than negatives.”
